Leeds talent sends two-word Instagram message to West Brom 22y/o
Leeds United striker Tyler Roberts has taken to Instagram to send a message to West Brom defender Kyle Edwards.
The Baggies 22-year-old is currently enjoying a closed season break after his side secured their return to the top flight via automatic promotion last month.
Albion are not due to reconvene for preseason training until August 17th, according to the Express and Star.
And it would appear that Edwards is planning on making most of his break by keeping things nice and laid back.
Posting to his personal Instagram, the 22-year-old shared a photo of himself dressed casually alongside the caption: “Cruise vibes”.
Roberts, who experienced promotion with Leeds last season too, then responded with the cryptic reply: “Business conversationssss”.
It’s good to see two young, exciting talents interacting like this despite their club allegiances.
Perhaps in an alternate universe Roberts would have been celebrating promotion with us instead of Leeds were it not for his departure from The Hawthorns in 2018.
From Edwards’ point of view though, he will be hoping that next year is the season in which he can really start to kick on for the Baggies.
26 Championship appearances is a decent enough tally, but just nine of those have been starts, while two goals and one assist are stats that can definitely be improved upon.
The Premier League will be a step up again, and we just have to hope that Edwards is able to issue a suitable enough response to that challenge.
