European side make enquiry for West Brom 23y/o, Bilic open to talks – report
Oliver Burke has never quite hit the ground running at West Brom.
The Scottish international moved to the Hawthorns back in 2017 for £15million after agreeing a fee with RB Leipzig, who will be laughing at that figure now.
Burke was on loan at Alaves last season in Spain after only managing one goal in his 24 appearances for the Albion.
The Daily Mail has reported that there is now fresh interest from Turkish side Trabzonspor, who are now managed by former Baggies assistant manager Eddie Newton.
According to the report, Newton has made an enquiry regarding the availability of Burke and has since opened talks with both the winger and West Brom.
Slaven Bilic is ready to sanction the exit of the Scottish international, who has never quite shown his full potential in the midlands since arriving.
It isn’t just Burke who could end up leaving either. West Brom have come to the agreement that they must sell players in order to raise significant funds for transfers this summer.
The Telegraph has reported that a further four names will be thrown into the hat, and could walk through the exit door.
Kenneth Zohore, Kieran Gibbs, Sam Field and Jonathan Leko are all names that have been made available at the Hawthorns, with all eyes fixed firmly on the Premier League.
With the interest clear in Burke, it looks like he could be the first out of the door as Bilic looks to be ruthless in his preparation for next season.
