‘Worth every penny’, Announce title’ – Many WBA fans delighted with ‘fantastic’ signing
Matheus Pereira is finally a permanent West Brom player.
It was the news every last Baggies fan wanted to be announced, and it finally happened on Monday as the Brazilian put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at the club.
Pereira has signed long-term from Portuguese side Sporting CP after tearing apart the Championship with ease at times last season.

The 24-year-old was involved in 24 goals in the second-tier, scoring eight and supplying a further 16 assists in his opening year in English football.
Pereira easily finished as West Brom’s best player, earning the highest average match rating according to WhoScored with a weekly score of 7.41.
It has been a rollercoaster number of years for Pereira in his career, but the midlands has finally given him somewhere to be called home.
A loan spell in the Bundesliga the year before his spell at West Brom saw him catch the eye of Slaven Bilic, with the Croatian sorting out some reported attitude problems.

For the minimal fee of only £8.25million, West Brom will definitely class that as a bargain and will now look forward to seeing the South American in the Premier League.
If Pereira can produce similar numbers in the top-flight next season, which is a massive ask, Albion could all but guarantee their survival.
As expected, many West Brom fans were delighted with this piece of business and made their feelings clear on social media.
