‘Priority’ – Slaven Bilic shares one player West Brom ‘will do everything’ to sign
West Brom head coach Slaven Bilic has shared that signing Filip Krovinovic this summer is his top “priority” at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies head coach admitted that his side have looked at two more Croatians in Ivo Grbic and Mislav Orsic.
Reliable journalist Joseph Masi did admit that Bilic is likely to miss out on both of those deals though, with Krovinovic more than a possibility.
Bilic admitted in an interview on Croatian TV that he will be doing everything he can to make sure the playmaker is with him next season.
“Krovinovic is a priority, I will do everything for him to stay,” he told Index HR, via the Express and Star.
“He has improved a lot, he can play in several positions and whether he is the holder of the game or sitting on the bench he is always smiling.”
Krovinovic became best friends with fellow loanee Matheus Pereira last season, with the Brazilian already making his move permanent.
The midfield duo were pictured together on holiday in Croatia recently, and no doubt they will have been pushing each other towards more years with the Baggies.
Bilic could have been handed a boost for this deal recently, with new Benfica manager Jorge Jesus reportedly not finding a spot for Krovinovic in his plans next season.
The Express and Star have also reported that the Albion have held talks over another loan switch, but this time with an option-to-buy, something Kevin Phillips was delighted with.
