‘Steal’, ‘Bargain’ – Many WBA fans react as Fantasy Football unveil price of Baggies star
West Brom made sure their stay in the Championship was a brief one, enjoying two seasons of second-tier football.
The Premier League awaits for the Baggies, who will join Leeds United and Fulham in the 20/21 campaign – possibly the strangest one in history.
It has already been confirmed that it will start in September, and finish in May with a rollercoaster of two cup campaigns inbetween.
One thing that Baggies fans will be looking forward to is Fantasy Football, with the chance to put their management skills to the test.
No one likes playing the Premier League version Fantasy Football when their side isn’t in the competition, and now the Albion are well and truly back.
Matheus Pereira finally became a West Brom player permanently on Monday, and we think the Brazilian will be in plenty of your teams next season.
His 16 assists and eight goals would bring plenty of points, but at what cost? Will Pereira set the Baggies fans back way too much?
West Brom shared on their official Twitter account on Tuesday that Pereira will cost only £6million in the game – not bad.
Every midfielder earns five points per goal, and each assist is worth three points – meaning Pereira will have earned 88 points just from his goal involvements and without captaincy – not a bad sales pitch.
Many West Brom fans have reacted to the price reveal, and as expected they were delighted as they look to manage their favourite star.
The majority were delighted with most calling it either a “steal” or a “bargain” and we have to say that we definitely agree.
