Report – Parent club stance on West Brom loanee delivered, could affect original ‘plan’
Former West Brom loanee Callum Robinson will be given the opportunity to prove himself to parent club Sheffield United this summer, according to Yorkshire Live.
The winger joined Albion for the second half of their promotion campaign last season, registering three goals and two assists in 16 Championship outings.
A report from The Sun journalist Alan Nixon suggested earlier this summer that “it was always the plan” for the 25-year-old to stay at The Hawthorns beyond the end of last season.

But his future, and the prospect of any potential return to Albion may be a little more complicated than initially suggested.
According to Yorkshire Live, the Blades are still willing to listen to offers for Robinson, but the player will be given a chance to convince manager Chris Wilder that he is deserving of a place in his plans in the top flight going forward.

This could certainly throw a spanner in the works for the Baggies.
While there has been no concrete indication that Albion are considering a move to take Robinson back to The Hawthorns, Nixon’s update has always made it seem likely that he could be in line for a return at some point in the coming weeks.
You could definitely argue that he did enough to justify a summer raid.
The wide man registered a higher xG and higher dribble success rate than Grady Diangana last season, as per Wyscout, and looked like a good, pacy option for Slaven Bilic’s men when they needed to diversify their attack.
It remains to be seen what comes of this, but if Robinson has a good preseason, we may never see him in a West Brom shirt again.
In other West Brom news, in another exclusive story by this site, the Baggies have opened talks over a new contract for this attacker.
