View: Latest admission from Euro club chief should give WBA renewed hope of landing int’l hitman
Almost any West Brom supporter on the planet would tell you that they need a new striker this summer.
With Slaven Bilic currently facing a choice between starting Charlie Austin, Hal Robson-Kanu, or Kenneth Zohore on the first day of the Premier League season, it’s painfully clear that reinforcements are needed if the Baggies are to comfortably avoid relegation upon their return to the top flight.
One name that we saw linked a little while ago was that of FC Union Berlin hitman Sebastian Andersson.

German outlet Kicker touted The Hawthorns as one potential destination for the Sweden international earlier this summer, but since then, he has slipped under the radar somewhat compared to other, more visible targets.
But the chances of a deal being struck for the 29-year-old have not disappeared completely.
Speaking to Kicker last week, Union Berlin director Oliver Ruhnert was asked whether Andersson was guaranteed to stay at the club this summer.
He responded: “No, as I said, the door is not closed for any player.
“First we plan with the squad we have. We are relatively far on with our squad planning, and then let’s see what happens in the next two or three weeks.”

And while he may not be the most high-profile of signings, we would be fully onboard with Albion making a move for the forward.
As previously examined by West Brom News, he looks as if he has the natural physicality and razor sharp finishing instincts needed to be a real hit in England.
Last season for instance, his shot accuracy was 11.8% higher than Austin’s, and he also won 23% more of his aerial duels, as per Wyscout.
Andersson would be a definite upgrade on what we already have, and by the looks of things, he could easily be tempted into leaving his current employers.
In other West Brom news, Kevin Phillips has urged Albion to take a hit on this player and sell him this summer.
