‘Looking good’ – Reliable journalist shares update on Palace move for WBA target
West Brom want to bring in Queens Park Rangers playmaker Eberechi Eze this summer.
The main problem is that they aren’t the only ones who want the English youth international ahead of the Premier League season.
Duncan Castles reported that the Baggies have had a £17million bid accepted for Eze on Wednesday, but that he would prefer to stay in London.
The Times journalist did go on to admit that advisors of Eze would prefer their player to make the switch to Crystal Palace instead.
So, what are the Eagles chances?
The Sun journalist Alan Nixon claimed on his personal Twitter account that things are looking good for a switch to Selhurst Park.
It looks as though Slaven Bilic will once again be set for disappointment as he looks likely to miss out on yet another target.
The Croatian was spotted talking to Eze after the final day draw last season at the Hawthorns, and no doubt he has been interested since then.
Nixon did make it clear that nothing is done until it is made official, and that is the only thing that West Brom can cling on to right now.
With the Baggies having their offer accepted, it is down to them to now place a financial offer on the table that Eze simply can’t refuse.
This is a player who was statistically, the third-best in the Championship last season behind only Matheus Pereira and Said Benrahma according to WhoScored, and the Albion must put their money where their mouth is or face missing out yet again.
