Sky Sports: West Brom close to agreeing personal terms with ace, journo details potential twist
West Brom are discussing personal terms with West Ham’s Grady Diangana after having a bid accepted for the winger, according to Rob Dorsett.
However, the Sky Sports journalist added on his personal Twitter account on Thursday that Aston Villa and Fulham “could yet scupper” that deal amid talks over a potential agreement for the former Baggies loan star.
It is understood that West Brom have had an offer worth up to £18million accepted by West Ham but that does not mean that Diangana will definitely be heading back to The Hawthorns in this summer’s transfer window.
Sky Sports add on their live transfer blog [Thursday, 01:18pm] that West Brom “are close to agreeing personal terms with his representatives”.
If Diangana leaves West Ham before the transfer window closes, it would be heartbreaking to see him head anywhere other than The Hawthorns.
The England Under-21 international was brilliant for Albion last season as they won promotion to the Premier League.
Although he missed a big portion of the season with injury issues, the on-loan winger still managed to score eight goals and supply seven assists in 31 total appearances.
It is no surprise that other clubs want to sign him off the back of his impressive season at The Hawthorns and Fulham’s interest is definitely worrying as they might be willing to offer him more money as well as the chance to stay in London.
Villa could also offer a better deal to Diangana than West Brom but, hopefully, the player realises that he’s already done so well in Slaven Bilic’s side that it’s likely he’ll continue to do well if he goes back.
In other West Brom news, the club is in advanced talks to sign this centre-back.
