View: West Brom making all the right moves as £1.25m double deal close to completion

West Brom are ready to announce a blizzard of new transfer deals this weekend at the Hawthorns.

Grady Diangana is finally set to return from West Ham, with the Baggies securing a club-record move for the impressive winger.

Not only that, but David Button from Brighton and Wigan’s Cedric Kipre are also set to join as Slaven Bilic bolsters his squad for the Premier League.

With the impressive nature of the Diangana deal, it is easy to see why the other two could slip under the radar.

They won’t after this latest update, with the Telegraph proving a major update which could prove that this double deal is a masterclass from Luke Dowling.

According to the report, Button and Kipre will only cost the Albion a combined figure of £1.25million – a bargain in this current market.

Yes, clubs will be desperate to raise funds in this current climate, but even seems to be undervaluing their own players.

These are two deals that Bilic wanted completing before the start of the Premier League season next week, and they appear to have been done.

Brighton originally wanted £1million alone for Button, so to get the experienced keeper for half of that is great negotiating from the Baggies.

As for Kipre, this was always going to be easier given Wigan’s financial constraints, but even they wanted £250,000 more at first, so West Brom are making all the right moves.

These cheaper deals will have allowed the club and Dowling to go out and splash the cash on Diangana with no worries, and that is great to see after weeks of silence.
