West Brom could launch £18million offer for striker – report
Despite numerous signings being set to be announced at the Hawthorns, West Brom are certainly not stopping there.
Grady Diangana is about to complete his move back to the midlands from West Ham United for a club-record fee this weekend.
As well as the winger, the Baggies are also set to complete deals for David Button and Cedric Kipre to strengthen at the back.
What about their pursuit of a new striker?
Yorkshire Live have reported that West Brom could be preparing a new £18million offer for Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant.
The Baggies remain very keen on the 22-year-old but will need to once again match or break their current transfer record to complete the deal.
It was reported earlier in the week that West Brom will maintain their interest despite seeing their first offer of £16million rejected by the Terriers.
Grant was great form for Huddersfield last season despite their major struggles in the Championship, scoring 19 goals from playing out-wide and as a lone striker.
He also has Premier League experience behind his name at the John Smith’s Stadium, arriving there midway through their relegation campaign in 2019.
The 22-year-old made 13 appearances in that time, scoring four goals – not a bad return for a player who had never played above the second-tier at this stage.
It would be a hefty fee to pay for Grant, but it appears that Bilic is a big fan of the young forward and who are we to suggest otherwise.
