Robbie Savage makes 20/21 Premier League prediction for West Brom
West Brom have welcomed a blizzard of signings recently with the Premier League nearly less than one week away.
The Baggies welcome Leicester City to the Hawthorns on Sunday, as they look to get their campaign off to a flyer.
The arrivals of Cedric Kipre and Grady Diangana were much-needed on Friday, and Baggies fans will be hoping there is more of that to come.
There is no hiding the fact that West Brom are lacking some squad depth in the final third and out wide as it stands, Slaven Bilic has admitted that.
Robbie Savage has pointed to that when predicting that the Albion will finish rock-bottom of the 20/21 Premier League season.
“It’s good to see Slaven Bilic back in the top flight, and the Baggies will undoubtedly play attractive football,” he wrote for the Mirror.
“But they simply don’t have enough quality at both ends of the pitch or enough squad depth. Hopefully, they will prove me wrong, but there is no shame being a ‘yo-yo’ club rebounding between the top two divisions.”
Bilic has already claimed that he will not stand for his club becoming that so-called ‘yo-yo’ team, so Savage may need to revisit that claim.
The Croatian claimed he needs more investment to prevent that from happening, and the club-record deal to sign Diangana was the perfect way to kick it all off.
The Premier League is all about picking up points at important times and against the clubs around you, and Bilic’s experience will be key in helping that happen.
Three points against Leicester on the first day, and hopefully that’s the start of people beginning to underestimate the Albion.
