Telegraph journalist shares major update on WBA pursuit of Callum Robinson
West Brom are set to make this weekend one to remember at the Hawthorns.
The Baggies have made three signings in the space of two days, welcoming Cedric Kipre, Grady Diangana and David Button to the club.
Slaven Bilic isn’t ready to stop there though, with a striker and another winger on his shortlist – and there’s good news.
The Telegraph journalist John Percy has reported that the Baggies are closing in on a deal to sign Sheffield United winger Callum Robinson.
It is suggested that the Blades will also sign Oliver Burke, as the two Premier League clubs settle on a swap deal ahead of the Premier League season.
Burke has been a massive flop at the Hawthorns, but Chris Wilder is suggested to believe that he can revive his career at Bramall Lane.
Robinson became a massive fan-favourite at the Hawthorns last season, after joining on an initial six-month loan spell in January.
The 25-year-old made 16 league appearances for the Baggies, scoring three goals and adding two assists – including the goal in the 2-2 draw against Queens Park Rangers on the final day.
The winger famously stayed in his West Brom kit for days after sealing promotion to the Premier League and bonded with the fans strongly despite such a small period of time.
With Burke only making 24 appearances for the Albion since moving in 2017, and to get Robinson for free in return – this is another masterclass from Luke Dowling.
