‘Let them know’ – West Brom player teases unreleased music video based on promotion
West Brom will finally return to the Premier League on Sunday afternoon when they kick off their campaign against Leicester City.
It has been nearly two months since the Baggies returned to the top-flight with a nervous 2-2 draw against Queens Park Rangers.
Many of Albion’s squad went overseas to celebrate, with the likes of Kyle Edwards joining some Leeds players like Kalvin Phillips in Spain.
Edwards still hasn’t stopped celebrating though, even with the Premier League less than one week away.
The winger has teased the release of a song joined with a music video on his personal Twitter account, all based on their promotion.
“Got something coming for everyone next week,” he wrote. “Everyone push and promote let them know we got a movie coming on Tuesday.”
Matheus Pereira reacted to the clip with some reassuring fire emojis, as he clearly approved of his teammates’ skill.
Looking at the video, we would advise Edwards to concentrate more on his football rather than his woeful rapping as he looks to make more of an impact next season.
The 22-year-old made 26 appearances in the Championship last season, with 17 of those coming from the bench under Slaven Bilic.
Edwards has only managed three goals and no assists in the Championship in the past two seasons, and it is hard to imagine him getting even more opportunities in the Premier League with form like that.
As he mentions when teasing his new song, “let them know” – that is what he must do when given a chance on the pitch next season.
