John Percy: Player set for medical today at West Brom ahead of major transfer
Callum Robinson is set to take his medical at West Brom today as the Sheffield United winger looks to complete his permanent transfer to The Hawthorns.
That update came from The Telegraph’s John Percy who also said that Oliver Burke will be going the other way.
As has been reported elsewhere, Percy added that Slaven Bilic is keen to sign a striker before the window closes.
Percy posted the update on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday morning.
This comes after Sky Sports had reported that the Baggies were still in discussions with Sheffield United about the fee.
Another brilliant signing
West Brom fans were worried at the start of the window about signings, with Blic operating with a limited budget.
However, since then, things have taken a marked upwards turn.
West Brom made headlines when they signed Grady Diangana from West Ham and the east London club is still dealing with the ructions that deal caused.
At a fee of around £18m, Diangana represents a real coup, as the angry West Ham fans are making clear.
Robinson was brilliant for West Brom last season and he’s another top signing for Bilic. That looks like it’s going to be done today, ahead of the Premier League opener this weekend.
The Baggies play Leicester on Sunday and this could see Robinson move straight into the squad.
In other news, Filip Krovinovic and Matheus Pereira have reacted on Instagram to Grady Diangana’s permanent move to the Baggies.
