Sky Sports details huge twist in Robinson-Burke swap, WBA-Sheff Utd deal isn’t what first seemed
Every West Brom fan was expecting to see the back of Oliver Burke this summer with Sheffield United set to sign the Scottish forward.
However, Sky Sports have detailed a major twist in the swap deal that would see Callum Robinson return to The Hawthorns and Burke, 23, head to Bramall Lane.
Sky Sports has unexpectedly reported that while Robinson, 25, is joining the Baggies permanently – Burke is only joining the Blades on loan.

It is a rather strange development in the proposed swap deal as everyone assumed that West Brom and Sheffield United would both be getting rid of players they don’t want on a permanent basis while signing players they do want on full-time deals.
It makes sense as to why Slaven Bilic would want Robinson at The Hawthorns after his impressive loan spell in the Black Country last season.
We’re still trying to figure out why Chris Wilder would want £15million flop Burke but it seems that Sheffield United might be trying to test the waters a bit with the Scotland international first before committing to signing him permanently.

As of yet, there are no details on whether Sheffield United have the obligation or option to buy Burke next summer after his loan deal expires.
West Brom could well be lumbered with Burke for another year if his temporary spell in Yorkshire isn’t made permanent with his Baggies contract up in 2022.
Burke’s been sent out on loan to Celtic and Alaves in the last season and a half and has hardly pulled up any trees.
But Wilder’s a good manager and he clearly believes he has the ability to get some performances out of the Scotland international.
But he clearly doesn’t 100 per cent believe that, otherwise he’d be signing him permanently.
In other West Brom news, we’ve revealed that this pre-season friendly is not taking place on Tuesday night despite online rumours.
