Kamil Grosicki reacts on Instagram as West Brom re-sign player

Kamil Grosicki has congratulated Callum Robinson after the forward sealed his return to West Brom on Wednesday.

Albion have confirmed that Robinson, 25, has joined the club on a permanent basis from Sheffield United following a successful half-season loan in the Championship in which he scored three goals in 16 appearances.

As part of the deal, the Baggies have played a blinder by sending Oliver Burke to Sheffield United. According to Express & Star journalist Joseph Masi, no transfer fee has been involved in the swap as of yet but there are clauses that could be brought into effect in the future.

Albion fans are pleased to see Robinson back at the club and they were also loving the way the return of ‘CR7’ was announced on Twitter as the Republic of Ireland international was handed the number seven jersey.

Slaven Bilic’s players are also happy with the news with Grosicki, Dara O’Shea and Rekeem Harper all welcoming Robinson back.

In response to Robinson’s Instagram post, Grosicki said: “Congrats CR7.”

We have absolutely no doubt that Robinson will be the best CR7 the Premier League has ever seen.

He does have a big job on his hands at The Hawthorns after proving himself to be a top Championship player.

Robinson struggled in Chris Wilder’s side at Bramall Lane in the first half of last season but after watching the way Sheffield United played throughout the campaign, Wilder’s formation didn’t really suit a wide player like Robinson.

Of course, the former Preston man can play as a striker, as we saw on the final day of last season when he scored in the promotion-clinching 2-2 draw with QPR.

It remains to be seen whether Bilic will use Robinson as a wide player or a striker in the Premier League as he currently has a few options in each position.

But we’d expect Robinson to be more of a back-up left-winger after Grady Diangana’s return was sealed last week.
