‘No-brainer’ – 25y/o reacts as West Brom transfer confirmed
Callum Robinson has claimed that it was a “no-brainer” for him to rejoin West Brom this summer.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at The Hawthorns, helping the Baggies to regain promotion back to the Premier League.
Albion confirmed on Wednesday that the forward has returned to the club on a permanent deal, and has put pen to paper on a five-year contract in the midlands.
And Robinson has emphasised how pleased he is to be back with the Baggies.
Speaking to the club’s official website, he said: “I’m really happy that it’s been sorted.
“I get on with everyone here, the staff and everything is positive about the place so it was a no-brainer for me.
“Over the summer the clubs were talking and now I’m back and can’t wait to kick on. I had a feeling it would happen after we got promoted but it’s never as clear as that.
“I enjoy being here. The fans and staff help me be who I want to be and be bubbly and have energy around the group, but I can’t do that unless the lads and staff are on-board with how I’m going to be every day.”
We’re delighted to have Robinson back at The Hawthorns.
The wide man registered a higher xG and higher dribble success rate than Grady Diangana last season, as per Wyscout, and looked like a versatile, pacy option who could bolster Slaven Bilic’s forward line whenever he was called upon.
It’s clear that he loves being at the club too, and that kind of positivity can really lift a dressing room and instil a proper team spirit.
Both on the field and off it, Robinson should prove to be a really decent signing for Albion.
In other West Brom news, a loan offer has been tabled for this in-demand Baggies 26-year-old.
