‘Hope they stay up’ – WWE superstar professes love for West Brom
WWE superstar Finn Balor has professed his love for West Brom ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Irish wrestler is a renowned Tottenham Hotspur fan, but seemingly has a soft spot for the Baggies too.
Albion start their Premier League campaign with a tricky clash against Leicester City on Sunday, but the current NXT champion believes that Slaven Bilic’s men will have more than enough to avoid the drop over the course of the season.
Speaking to BT Sport, he said: “As for who goes down, I do love West Brom, so I’m hoping they stay up.
“Getting relegated will be be Fulham, Aston Villa, and Brighton.”
Balor also backed Manchester City to win their Premier League crown back from Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, Chelsea, and his beloved Spurs rounding out the rest of the top four.
This is an odd one to say the least.
It’s not everyday that you get a world renowned wrestler singing the Baggies’ praises – especially one who is a known Spurs fan.
That being said, it is nice to hear someone show a bit of faith in Albion for once.
It feels like every pundit has us down as relegation certainties.
But there is quality in this West Brom side, and if we can get a new striker through the door before the end of the transfer window, there’s no reason why we can’t cause a lot of team some serious trouble.
Here’s hoping Balor is spot on with his forecast.
