Reliable journalist: West Brom set to complete transfer on Monday

Filip Krovinovic will complete his loan move to West Brom today according to PA journalist Nick Mashiter.

The deal to bring Krovinovic back to the Hawthorns has progressed rapidly in the last week, with reports recently stating that a deal was ‘very close’.

Today, Mashiter tweeted from his personal twitter account that the Croatian midfielder is due to complete his loan move from Benfica on Monday.

Bilic has been keen to bring back the loanees who helped the Baggies secure automatic promotion to the Premier League last season, and with the signing of Krovinovic, albeit on loan, he has achieved this.

He will join Grady Diangana, Matheus Pereira and Callum Robinson as the fourth player who was at the Hawthorns last season to return for another spell.

The Baggies have had to settle for a loan deal to bring the Croatian back to the west midlands, following West Brom’s spending in other areas, such as the acquisition of Grady Diangana from West Ham.

Nevertheless, Bilic and Baggies fans will be happy to welcome back a player who played a large role in helping West Brom achieve automatic promotion last season.

After West Brom’s 3-3 draw with Chelsea, Bilic said he hoped that ‘Filip Krovinovic will be here by the end of the weekend’.  But that it seems as there won’t be too much of a delay to the deal, with this report claiming it will happen today.

Krovinovic wlll add real depth to the West Brom squad even if he’s not a regular first-team starter.
