Reliable journo names three senior players who may still exit WBA, one played 38 times in 19/20

Charlie Austin, Kenneth Zohore and Kamil Grosicki could all leave West Brom before the transfer window closes, according to The Athletic journalist Steve Madeley.

The reporter said via his personal Twitter account on Monday morning that striker Austin, 31, is available “if the right deal presents itself”, while Zohore, 26, has been deemed as surplus to requirements.

He adds that Grosicki, 32, is “out of the picture”, which suggests that the Baggies could be willing to listen offers for him too.

All three players were signed by Slaven Bilic in his first season in charge of West Brom but none of them were exactly regulars in his starting line-up in the Championship.

Austin finished as West Brom’s top goalscorer last term with 11 goals in all competitions but the former Southampton and QPR striker still only managed 18 league starts for Albion as they won promotion to the Premier League.

Zohore started just five times in the Championship for the Baggies last term as he made 38 appearances in all competitions while January signing Grosicki started just four league matches.

None of them have been used by Bilic in the Premier League since winning promotion and all of them have been linked with moves away from The Hawthorns.

Speculation has risen connecting Austin with a move to Derby County [DerbyshireLive] while Polish news outlet Meczyki has reported that Nottingham Forest are keen on Grosicki and Sheffield Wednesday are strongly linked with Zohore.

We wouldn’t be against seeing any of these players leave, especially if it raises funds to welcome new faces to The Hawthorns.

If Bilic isn’t going to use them now before new signings arrive then what hope do they have when players are brought in in the final days of the transfer window?
