View: West Brom problem could slowly disappear as Shearer praises ‘Clinical’ Albion ace

West Brom picked up their first point of the season in the Premier League on Saturday, drawing 3-3 against Chelsea at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies will have been disappointed though, having thrown away a three-goal lead in the second half against Frank Lampard’s men.

Callum Robinson scored his first two goals of the season, clinically dispatching two chances handed to him by Chelsea.

Alan Shearer was full of praise for Robinson, claiming the attacker punished Chelsea by showing his clinical streak in the 3-3 draw.

“Chelsea gave the West Bromwich Albion attacker two chances and he punished them with a couple of clinical finishes,” he wrote in his Team of the Week column.

There aren’t many better pundits to earn praise from than Shearer, and he was clearly impressed with the Baggies ace.

West Brom are still in the market for another striker, although this may make Slaven Bilic think twice about the pecking order.

Steve Madeley of the Athletic reported that Karlan Grant of Huddersfield remains their top target, although he may have to settle for a place on the bench at first.

After the opening day thrashing against Leicester, there were question marks over the front three, who looked far from comfortable in the top flight.

Since then though, all three have found the back of the net and they continue to look more and more dangerous – with the problem slowly disappearing.
