Agents of West Brom player open discussions with club owner with exit close – Journalist
West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki’s short career at the Hawthorns appears to be coming to an abrupt end in this window.
The Polish international only joined the Baggies in January and played a slight role in helping them earn promotion to the Premier League.
It was reported recently that Nottingham Forest “would love” to sign Grosicki, who could be made available by Slaven Bilic.
That speculation is starting to gather pace.
Polish journalist Mateusz Borek has reported on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday that Grosicki’s agents have entered talks with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
“Agents of Kamil Grosicki Pini Zahavi and Jerzy Kopiec have been talking with Evangelos Marinakis for several days,” he wrote.
“Where will the Polish representative leave?”
The 32-year-old has yet to feature in the Premier League so far this season, with his only appearance coming in the Carabao Cup.
His constant snub from the first-team has started to see speculation grow, as Slaven Bilic makes it clear with his selections that the winger is no longer needed.
Grosicki’s best form has been with the Polish international squad, scoring and assisting in the 2-1 win over Bosnia at the beginning of this month.
That highlighted that he still has the quality needed to succeed, but West Brom’s need to raise fund to sign Karlan Grant have taken the priority.
The Baggies appear to be closing in on that deal according to Alan Nixon, and the Albion may need to let more than Grosicki leave to balance the books.
