Kyle Edwards reacts as Leeds United player unveils new 20/21 third kit
West Brom didn’t receive many plaudits for their new 2020/21 third strip once it was announced many weeks ago.
The Red and Yellow design didn’t go down as well as the famous away strip that has been at the Hawthorns for a couple of seasons now.
Other kits in the Premier League such as Manchester United’s third kit were savaged, but Leeds United’s new Maroon kit appears to have caught the eye.
Former Baggies player Tyler Roberts released images of their new third strip on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday morning.
Kyle Edwards was clearly impressed, sharing his reaction in the comments – praising Adidas for their design on the kit.
“This kit is alright, still,” he wrote.
Edwards and former Baggies player Jonathan Leko have remained great friends with Roberts, putting aside our rivalry with Leeds over the past few seasons.
Adidas have made the Leeds kits different, ranging from plain to stripes, to a camouflage design on all three.
That is more than what can be said for Puma, who have made sure that all three maintain the famous barcode design.
Less about the kits, and less about the comments, is Edwards forcing himself into contention at the Hawthorns?
The 22-year-old has definitely impressed during his two starts in the Carabao Cup, and that earned him more minutes in the Premier League.
Edwards has looked bright in cameos against Leicester and Everton, and he will be looking to force himself into starting XI sooner rather than later – something that is unlikely without a change in system.
