West Brom 26-year-old keen to leave Hawthorns in this window – report
West Brom forward Kenneth Zohore has never quite hit the ground running at the Hawthorns since arriving from Cardiff.
The Danish forward has attracted a lot of interest from the Championship this summer, with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Derby and Middlesbrough linked.
The Express and Star even reported last week that Wednesday had tabled a substantial loan offer for Zohore, which would see them pay the majority of his wages.
There have been no fresh reports on whether Zohore will move, although there was doubt cast because of his Premier League wages.
What does Zohore himself want?
The Dane has not been involved whatsoever this season, and Yorkshire Live have reported that he is keen on a switch to Hillsborough.
It is claimed that there are many clubs in England and Europe interested, although the 26-year-old’s main option is to sign for Wednesday.
Charlie Austin and Kamil Grosicki are also two senior options who could leave, with the Baggies looking to add to their own attacking ranks.
Karlan Grant of Huddersfield is their number one target, and Steve Madeley shared an update on their pursuit on Friday.
The Athletic journalist claimed that even if Zohore, Austin and Grosicki leave, they still wouldn’t be able to afford Grant’s asking price.
He claimed that it is “unlikely” all three will be sold, so this loan move to South Yorkshire makes more sense and is much more likely to happen.
