Journalist: West Brom ace with 14 apps in 19/20 season poised for permanent exit

West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki is poised to leave the Hawthorns on transfer deadline day.

The senior Polish international has yet to feature in the Premier League so far this season and has not even been involved in the squad.

Kyle Edwards started against Southampton on Sunday and appears to have jumped above Grosicki in the pecking order.

It appears as though Grosicki will move away on transfer deadline day though.

The 32-year-old is poised to join Olympiakos on Monday, but he won’t be playing for the Greek side during this season.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke broke the news on his personal Twitter account, claiming that Grosicki will then move to Nottingham Forest on loan.

As mentioned, Edwards started against Southampton in a change of system, and even that didn’t give Grosicki an option.

Slaven Bilic needs to raise funds at the Hawthorns, and Grosicki could be the first of many senior players to leave during today.

It is no surprise to see Grosicki on the verge of an exit, given the little impact he has had on the club since arriving in January.

The Pole only started four games in the Championship and came off the bench on 10 different occasions – proving he didn’t do enough to cement a place in the side.

Starman Grady Diangana was injured during that time too, meaning there was a spot up for grabs in the side, Grosicki just wasn’t trusted.

If the Baggies can get anywhere near to double the £800,000 they gave Hull months ago, they will be delighted with that business.
