Senior West Brom player responds to reports linking him with Baggies exit
West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki was reportedly poised to seal a permanent exit from the Hawthorns on Monday.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed that Olympiakos had agreed a deal to sign the Polish winger, who has struggled to feature this season.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, O’Rourke claimed that Grosicki would then move to Nottingham Forest on loan.
Joseph Masi of the Express and Star shared some quotes from Grosicki in the Polish media on Monday, claiming there was no concrete offer that was ever tabled.
The 32-year-old claimed that he is now set to remain at the Hawthorns and fight for his spot under Slaven Bilic this season.
Grosicki himself appears to have confirmed those quotes, responding to Masi’s tweet with the quotes with a couple of emojis.
Grosicki had been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest for a number of weeks, but it appears that they have potentially left it too late to force a deal.
The Polish international has yet to feature in the Premier League and has fallen down the pecking order since promotion.
Kyle Edwards was handed his first start in the top-flight against Southampton, despite Grosicki playing a bigger part last season for the Albion.
Something has to change for Grosicki to force his way in, and hopefully, the scare of potentially being sold can kickstart his Baggies career after somewhat of a slow start.
