Confirmed – West Brom player seals Albion loan exit for 20/21

West Brom striker Jamie Soule has left the club to join Lincoln City on loan.

The Baggies confirmed the news via their official website on Tuesday afternoon.

The 19-year-old has been prolific at youth level in recent seasons, but has yet to make his senior bow for Albion.

Soule did, however, spend a month on loan with Barrow last term, but that spell was cut short by the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The teenager will join up with fellow West Brom prospects Callum Morton and Alex Palmer in League One, with both players already out on loan with the Imps.

This should hopefully be a deal that benefits both the player and his parent club immensely.

We’ve already seen promising signs from our use of the loan market this summer, with Palmer in fine form for Lincoln and Finn Azaz shining during his brief time at Cheltenham Town.

By all accounts, we should see plenty of minutes for Soule too.

Even Appleton himself has talked up his considerable first team prospects.

The boss said: “Jamie is decent solution for us. He’s someone I worked with in my short spell with the under-23s [at West Brom] before coming to Lincoln.
