Grady Diangana sends four-word Instagram message to WBA teammate after injury blow

Grady Diangana has taken to Instagram to wish West Brom teammate Hal Robson-Kanu well after he broke his arm in Sunday’s defeat to Southampton.

The Wales international picked up the injury in the 2-0 loss to the Saints, but still carried on for 20 minutes despite the break.

Robson-Kanu revealed his complaint in an Instagram post on Tuesday afternoon.

Alongside a picture of an x-ray, he said: “Gutted to have broken my arm in West Brom’s game on Sunday.

“Playing on for 20 mins was pretty painful, but no way was I leaving the team to play with 10 men!

“Testament to our togetherness and team spirit to be a success this year!”

Responding to that comment, Diangana said: “Speedy recovery big bro”, accompanied by three love heart emojis.

This is a real blow for Robson-Kanu, and we wish him all the best in his recovery.

Full credit to the striker, he comes in for his fair share of flak for some of his underwhelming performances in front of goal, but it takes courage to play 20 minutes of a Premier League clash with a broken arm.

If anything though, this injury just reiterates the need for West Brom to sign a striker before the domestic transfer window shuts on October 16th.

Robson-Kanu probably wasn’t anybody’s first choice to lead the line for us this season, but having him laid up for an extended period of time means that we are yet another body short up top.

It is absolutely crucial that we sign a striker.
