‘Excellent’, ‘He’s going to Villa’ – Many West Brom fans react to 28y/o striker link
West Brom fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was reported that the club is targeting Bournemouth forward Joshua King.
According to the Mirror, Albion and Aston Villa are set to lock horns in a battle to sign the 28-year-old Norway international, who is in the final year of his contract at the Vitality Stadium.
Although the international transfer deadline passed on Monday, the Baggies still have until October 16 to strengthen their squad from other English clubs and King has emerged as the latest striker to be linked with a move to The Hawthorns as Slaven Bilic aims to add more firepower to his squad.
King has proven himself to be a capable Premier League goalscorer in his time at Bournemouth, netting 48 goals in 161 top-flight appearances for the south coast club.

Here is a selection of their tweets:
However, not all West Brom fans are happy with the transfer report as others believe that the club’s restricted budget and lack of ambition will mean that Aston Villa are firmly in the driving seat to seal a deal.
We doubt that King will still be a Bournemouth player by the time the domestic transfer window closes next Friday but where will he head?
Hopefully it’s to The Hawthorns but the club’s budget constraints and the likelihood of another relegation battle suggests it might not happen.
