‘Play him’, ‘Madness’ – Many WBA fans blown away by Kamil Grosicki at HT v Finland

West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki was handed the captain’s armband for Poland on Wednesday evening against Finland.

The 32-year-old has yet to feature in the Premier League for the Baggies but is still held in high esteem for his country.

Slaven Bilic will have been keeping a close eye on proceedings in Poland, and he will have been delighted with what he saw.

We claimed earlier on Wednesday, the game against Finland was a great opportunity for Grosicki to get back in the side at the Hawthorns.

He couldn’t have started better, with the Polish captain scoring twice in the opening 20 minutes of the game.

The first was a great finish from the edge of the box, firing low into the bottom corner after the ball rolled free.

It was even better only minutes later, as the experienced winger smashed home into the roof of the net from a tight angle.

The perfect half was sealed only minutes before the break, as Grosicki fired home to earn the match ball – we hope you’re watching Bilic.

Some Baggies fans still question why Grosicki isn’t being involved, and Wednesday will only fuel that – with his only outing against Harrogate so far this season.

Many West Brom fans reacted to the performance of their winger for Poland in the first half, claiming he has to be involved against Burnley next time out.

The majority claimed Grosicki was evidently better than Matt Phillips and Kyle Edwards, making his missing presence even more bewildering.
