View: Rarely-seen WBA ace could get chance to shine on Wednesday night

West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki was part of a rather hectic transfer deadline day in the Premier League.

The Polish international was linked with a move away, and it looked like it was about to happen, with Olympiakos interested.

Grosicki was set to seal a move to the Greek side, but then be loaned out to the Championship and Nottingham Forest.

It didn’t happen in the end.

Grosicki, himself put an end to those rumours by speaking out to the media over his spot at the Hawthorns this season.

“There was no concrete offer,” he said. “What next? I’m staying in West Bromwich Albion for the moment and I’m fighting for a place in the squad.”

Grosicki hasn’t been involved at all in the Premier League, with his only game coming in the Carabao Cup victory over Harrogate last month.

The 32-year-old has only impressed once this season, and that was international duty.

Grosicki scored once and also added an assist in their victory against Bosnia, and he will get the opportunity to do the same against Finland on Wednesday.

Should the experienced winger put in a similar performance, he could certainly catch the eye of Slaven Bilic during his time away.

It was Kyle Edwards who was given his Premier League debut against Southampton last weekend, and it highlighted Grosicki’s position in the squad – he must impress against Finland.
