‘Electric’ – Hal Robson-Kanu heaps praise on WBA teammate who has ‘all the talent’

Hal Robson-Kanu has claimed that West Brom teammate Grady Diangana has “all the talent” needed to be a major asset for Albion.

The winger rejoined the Baggies on a permanent basis this summer after having spent a hugely successful loan spell at The Hawthorns last term.

And Robson-Kanu believes that his natural ability, coupled with Slaven Bilic’s coaching, can help the youngster to reach the very top.

Speaking to Football Fancast, the Wales international said: “Grady has all the talent, he’s got electric pace with plenty of tricks left in his locker, so he causes all sorts of issues for defenders.

“He definitely has a bright future ahead of him if he stays focussed and keeps improving in the right areas.

“With a manager like Slaven Bilic, he will receive some great guidance, and hopefully he has a hugely successful season.”

If we had a pound for every time that we’ve heard someone wax lyrical about Diangana since he first signed for West Brom, we probably would have been able to sign him ourselves.

The wide man is clearly a very exciting talent, and you need only look at the indignation that his exit caused at West Ham to get a proper understanding of how highly he is rated.

Captain Mark Noble even took to Twitter to express his anger at the deal, and players of his experience don’t just sound off in a public forum about every young prodigy they come across.

Diangana then proved that he has the chops for the top flight with a wonderful solo goal against Everton in the second game of the season.

The next step for him is to produce that kind of quality regularly.

If he can do that, the Baggies will have a game changing weapon on their hands.
