‘Starting to dominate’ – Mark Lawrenson predicts West Brom clash v Brighton

Mark Lawrenson has backed Brighton to pick up all three points against West Brom in the Premier League on Monday evening.

The BBC pundit has predicted that the Seagulls will win 2-0, leaving the Baggies still without a win since their promotion.

Slaven Bilic was happy with his side after their draw with Burnley and will be hoping that continues at the AMEX Stadium.

Lawrenson claimed that Brighton have been unlucky in their results, and expects them to dominate the Baggies on Monday.

“Brighton’s results have not really reflected the fact they are much better team than they were last season,” he wrote in his BBC predictions column.

“They only got a point against Crystal Palace last weekend but we saw in that game that, as well as creating more chances, they are starting to dominate games in midfield.

“I’m expecting to see more of the same from them here.”

It will be a hard task for the Baggies to travel down south and come back with all three points on Monday evening.

Brighton were frustrated by Crystal Palace last week, who proved you could have success on the counter-attack against Graham Potter’s side.

Palace only had one shot and kept 34.3% of the ball according to WhoScored, but were never put under serious pressure by the away side.

Brighton will also be without their influential skipper Lewis Dunk after his late red card in that draw – something the Baggies could look to exploit.
