Slaven Bilic: West Brom will win more games when this happens with squad
Slaven Bilic has claimed that his West Brom side will have more chance of winning games once they gel together in the Premier League.
In the 0-0 draw against Burnley on Monday, the Baggies made six changes with three of those making their league debuts for the club.
Branislav Ivanovic, Conor Gallagher and Karlan Grant all came into the fold and impressed the Albion boss as they added another point to their tally.
Bilic did admit that despite that, with better decision making it could have been more, although that should come with time.
“With a little bit more bravery and understanding between the players who started, we could have taken three points,” he said.
“The quicker you gel, the more chances we are going to have of winning games.
“You can gel by training together, by spending time together before and after training, enjoying time and also by winning games. We will have that.”
There were clear signs of improvements against Burnley, but they will need to be even better for the trip to Brighton on Monday evening.
West Brom need to keep that defensive strength, but they also need to make sure they create more chances and sort out that efficiency in front of goal.
It will be interesting to see Bilic’s selection, but after his comments on the team gelling tells us he could name an unchanged XI at the AMEX.
