Grosicki posts cryptic one-word tweet amid West Brom exit speculation
West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki took to Twitter on Saturday night to post a cryptic message as he waits to find out if he will sign for Nottingham Forest.
The Polish international simply tweeted “Tuesday”, followed by the football and praying emojis as he waits for news on whether his potential move from West Brom to Forest will be approved.
He also used the scales of justice emoji which hints that he could be going to a court on Tuesday. This would line up with other recent reports about the 32-year-old’s future.
Grosicki’s tweet followed an update from Telegraph journalist John Percy who said that Nottingham Forest’s case could be seen by the court of arbitration early next week.
The 32-year-old’s tweet suggests that it will indeed be Tuesday when his case is seen and it could be the day both Baggies fans and Forest fans are told where Grosicki’s future lies.
The issue with the transfer is that the paperwork was submitted just after the transfer deadline. Athletic journalist Steve Madeley has revealed just how ridiculous the saga is, with the forms reportedly being submitted just 21 seconds after the 17.00 deadline.
Forest’s lawyers are now arguing that because it was still 17.00 and not 17.01, that the deal should be ratified.
With these updates from journalists and Grosicki’s tweet, it does now seem that this transfer saga will be wrapped up in the near future which will come as a relief to Baggies fans who are interested in knowing where their man will end up.
Grosicki will be able to register as a West Brom player if his deal to Forest isn’t ratified by the EFL so he could yet have a future at the Hawthorns.
