Karlan Grant has tweeted after scoring his first West Brom goal in Monday night’s 1-1 draw with Brighton.
The new Baggies man levelled the scores with a powerful finish late on in the game after a West Brom own goal had handed Brighton a first-half lead.
Grant took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to share his delight that he has opened West Brom account while saying the point his new side picked up was ‘more than deserved’.

Grant did we to make space for himself before firing his effort past Matt Ryan in the Brighton net. He also did well to read the deflected cross sent in by Callum Robinson as he was the quickest man to react inside the Brighton box.
His performance on Monday night was much improved from his first Baggies outing as he struggled to impose himself against Burnley a week ago. But the former Huddersfield man had only joined the Baggies a few days before he made his debut so he perhaps wasn’t fully fit.
At the Amex Grant also showed why he was brought to The Hawthorns. He had few chances in the game but when a big opportunity came his way he took it. It is that kind of clinical finishing that could prove to be the difference in a relegation fight. Albion may only carve out two or three opportunities in a game, so they need a forward who won’t waste many chances.
Grant will be looking to add to his first Baggies goal when his new side take on Fulham next Monday. Similarly to the Burnley match, it is one of the games that Albion need to win if they are to pull clear of the bottom teams in the league. Hopefully, Grant can fire West Brom to their first win of the season.
