Leon Osman has claimed that Slaven Bilic has a “big decision” to make regarding his future at West Brom.
The future of the Baggies boss was thrown into doubt after he revealed he was disappointed with the sale of Ahmed Hegazi behind his back on Sunday.
Steve Madeley of the Athletic recently shared that although things aren’t positive behind-the-scenes, Bilic should be going nowhere.
Speaking on BBC 5 Live Sport after the game, Osman believes there are massive cracks appearing in the relationship between the two.
“He was very pained in his interview there,” he said.
“The line that stuck out for me is he wants a straight relationship, he feels as though that’s how you should operate and to say that publically when being asked a question, he obviously feels that he’s not involved in one.
“If that’s the case, you don’t feel like people are being honest with you, then it’s always going to be a question asked, and he’s got a big decision to make.”
Guochuan Lai and Luke Dowling have done themselves no favours with this latest deal surrounding the exit of Hegazi.
Yes, the deal could save or bring in £10million for the Baggies, but at the sake of losing one of their most experienced defenders at the cost of upsetting Bilic – it simply wasn’t worth it.
Bilic even went as far as to say that Hegazi wanted to stay at the club after the Brighton game, and that doesn’t shed good light on the Albion board.
Should another incident happen, Bilic’s future is clearly on thin ice and something happening could tip him over the edge regarding his position with the club.
