‘Fantastic’ – Scott Parker impressed by ‘Quality’ West Brom duo ahead of Fulham clash

Fulham boss Scott Parker has been impressed with West Brom and their transfer activity after promotion from the Championship together.

Parker singled out the moves for Grady Diangana and more recently, Karlan Grant as two moves that caught his eye over the summer.

The Baggies travel to Craven Cottage on Monday, with both sides still looking for their first wins in the Premier League this season.

Parker admitted he is expecting a challenging game, with Albion also adding experience in all the right areas during the window.

“I think both teams are probably similar to where they are,” he told Sky Sports.

“West Brom have spent a bit of money, and they’ve brought in a couple of front-half players, one being one what was there last year and I think we all see his quality – a fantastic player in Diangana.

“The boy Grant, and added some experience along the way. So, definitely an improved team, but I think it’s got the making of a very good game.”

Diangana has shown glimpses of his skill this season, but he hasn’t been as consistent during this campaign in the Premier League.

Compare that to Grant, who has hit the ground running since arriving from Huddersfield, scoring his first goal in the 1-1 draw against Brighton.

That will fill the new Baggies man with all the confidence in the world and will make him a dangerous prospect against the leaky defence of Fulham on Monday.

Parker has definitely identified those two as players to watch. Should the Baggies want all three points though, it will need to be a team effort – similar to how they ended that game at Brighton.
