West Brom loanee suffers injury blow, some fans concerned on Twitter

Loaned-out West Brom striker Kenneth Zohore suffered an injury while playing for Millwall in their 2-0 win against Preston on Tuesday night.

Zohore, 26, was handed his full debut for the Championship club at Deepdale by manager Gary Rowett and although the Dane bagged his first goal in the victory, his night was cut short after 73 minutes due to a knock, according to Millwall’s official website.

Although Millwall’s match report played down Zohore’s setback, supporters of the second-tier club voiced concerns about the striker on Twitter.

One Millwall fan suggested that Zohore’s injury came “out of nowhere” while another claimed that it looked as though the forward picked up a calf strain.

Millwall moved up to fourth in the Championship standings but might have to go into their next match against Huddersfield this weekend without the Baggies loanee due to the short turnaround between games.

We’re likely to hear an update on Zohore’s fitness in the next couple of days and Rowett is likely to confirm how long Zohore’s out for.

Even though he’s not at West Brom at the moment, we hope Zohore isn’t sidelined for long.

He’s only just joined Millwall on loan and that temporary deal expires in January.

The ex-Cardiff man needs game-time and it’s encouraging that in his first start for Millwall he managed to get himself on the scoresheet.

But it doesn’t benefit anyone if he’s out injured.
