‘Albion legend already’ – Many West Brom fans thrilled with ‘Superb’ player on Twitter
Some West Brom fans have reacted after Sam Johnstone spoke out as he reached 100 appearances for the Baggies.
The Albion keeper notched his 100th outing in the colours of West Brom when his side drew 1-1 with Brighton last Monday as he helped the Baggies to a valuable Premier League point.
The 27-year-old has played every game for the Baggies since he joined from Manchester United in 2018 and helped Albion achieve promotion back to the Premier League last season.
The 27-year-old has come in for some criticism this season due to Albion’s poor defensive record but he has been one of his side’s standout performers this term.
He turned in man of the match performances against Southampton and Burnley and helped his side to a first clean sheet of the season in the latter of those two games.
It is fair to say that the Baggies would have less than the three points they have accumulated this season if Johnstone hadn’t been in such good form for Slaven Bilic’s side. He has bailed his side out on more than one occasion this season and West Brom fans will be hoping he can do the same in Monday’s game against Fulham.
Some Albion fans took to Twitter to congratulate and praise their goalkeeper with one even calling Johnstone an ‘Albion legend already’.

Johnstone will be looking to help his side to a first Premier League win of the season when he lines up to face Fulham on Monday.
