‘Up and running’ – Mark Lawrenson predicts score in critical West Brom v Fulham clash

BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Fulham will beat West Brom 2-1 in the critical Premier League clash on Monday.

Both sides are looking for their first win of the season. Fulham have only got a single point from their first six games.

West Brom have three draws from their first six games and striker Karlan Grant has got off the mark quickly.

However, Lawrenson, while predicting a “decent game”, thinks that the home side will nick it.

Writing on the BBC Lawrenson said, “Neither of these sides have managed a win yet, so they both have to see this as a chance to get their season up and running.

“That should make it a decent game, because both teams will think they will go out and have a go.”

Baggies to bounce back

Unsurprisingly, we disagree with Lawrenson and are siding with his guest predictor this week.

The Rap Game UK judge DJ Target thinks that West Brom will nick the game 1-0.

Fulham have been awful this season while the Baggies have started showing signs of recovery under Bilic.

A first win would be a massive boost to the club and give Bilic something to build on.

A defeat would really start to see the pressure piled onto the side.

The bookies are siding with Fulham with odds of 2.5 for a home win. West Brom are priced at 2.9.

The sides contested two draws last season in the Championship but West Brom finished second in the league and we think the Baggies will have enough to nick a tight win.

Keeping Aleksandar Mitrovic quiet will be absolutely key and the defence needs to tighten up after conceding 14 goals already this season.
