‘Running through brick walls’ – Some West Brom fans praise player who ‘Gave it his all’ v Fulham

Some West Brom fans have reacted to Conor Gallagher’s performance as the Baggies lost 2-0 to Fulham on Monday night.

It was a night to forget for Albion as they were well beaten by one of the few teams below them in the league.

Bobby Decordova-Reid and Ola Aina scored Fulham’s goals as the Baggies dropped into the relegation zone without putting up much of a fight.

But according to some fans, Conor Gallagher’s performance was a positive take-away from the game as he did his best to link the Baggies defence and attack.

The 20-year-old played well but the poor performances of the players around him limited how much Gallagher could impact the game.

According to Premier League Statman, Gallagher did make more tackles than any other player on the pitch and managed to register 8 ball recoveries which shows how vital he was for Albion defensively.

One fan said they were feeling sorry for the Chelsea loanee, while another said he was the only Baggies player leaving Craven Cottage with dignity.

Albion welcome Tottenham to The Hawthorns next time out in the league. Hopefully, Gallagher can turn in another quality performance against Jose Mourinho’s side.
