‘Huge decision’ – John Percy delivers major update on Bilic future at West Brom
John Percy has reported some depressing news for West Brom fans ahead of the game against Tottenham on Sunday.
He claims it’s a “pivotal” game for Bilic with his future at the club “under scrutiny” after a run of bad results ending with the 2-0 defeat to Fulham on Monday.
In the report in The Telegraph, he adds that a “heavy defeat and poor performance against Tottenham on Sunday will leave the board with a huge decision to make before the international break”.
West Brom have only won three league games since the end of February.
Fearing the worst
The portents aren’t good for Bilic. Tottenham are in great form this season and are sitting in third place in the league.
The display from West Brom on Monday was worrying on so many levels, not just the end results.
It was half-hearted, the body language was bad and it seems to us that a heavy defeat is more likely than a surprise win.
Spurs have put six past Man United and three past West Ham in recent weeks and both Harry Kane and Son have started the season fast.
They’ll be licking their lips about playing a team in such a slump
Fans aren’t going to be left too surprised by this report and there’s a big split currently.
Some fans think it would be madness to get rid of Bilic now. Others are at the end of the line over team performances.
Either way, it needs sorting. The worst thing that can happen is that the club limps on with an axe hanging over Bilic’s head.
He won’t walk and if the club are going to sack him, better it happens sooner rather than later. That’s not saying we want it to happen, it’s just a pragmatic approach to a very bad situation.
