Report shares if West Brom summer signing could leave permanently in January window

West Brom defender Cedric Kipre could be allowed to leave the Hawthorns on loan in January, according to Birmingham Live.

The Ivorian arrived for a cut-price deal in the summer, with the Baggies taking advantage of cash-strapped Wigan who were relegated.

Kipre has yet to make a Premier League appearance this season but has featured in the Carabao Cup before losing to Brentford.

Could Kipre leave permanently?

Although the deal has not yet been a success, it appears that there is no chance of him leaving the club this early.

Slaven Bilic has had to watch Ahmed Hegazi leave in the past fortnight, and that has automatically pushed Kipre one spot up the pecking order.

Birmingham Live claim that Blackburn could be an option, given their interest before the switch to the Hawthorns was completed.

Kyle Bartley is currently the player sitting on the bench behind Branislav Ivanovic and Semi Ajayi, something which is keeping Kipre back.

Should one of those three players pick up an injury though, Kipre would automatically jump on to the bench and closer to the starting XI.

The 23-year-old will have known that opportunities would be limited before arriving, but even he would have expected to at least have been on the bench at some point.

Kipre needs to patient, a lot can change at the blink of an eye, especially at the Albion.
