‘Very Albion thing to do’, ‘Let the players know’ – Some WBA fans react to official club tweet
Some West Brom fans have reacted after the club tweeted out the details of their upcoming game against Tottenham and it’s fair to say that most supporters aren’t confident.
Albion face Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham on Sunday after slipping into the relegation zone on Monday night following a 2-0 loss to Fulham.
The Baggies desperately need a win but it seems some fans aren’t confident of picking up three points against the Premier League’s top scorers this season.
There could be a lot more on the line than the three points, too, after the Telegraph’s John Percy claimed Slaven Bilic could be sacked if his side suffers a heavy defeat.
Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min have contributed to 24 goals in seven league games this season between them and they could have plenty of joy against an Albion defence that has conceded 16 goals in seven games.
Add Gareth Bale into the mix, who scored his first Premier League goal since 2013 in Spurs’ last league outing and it doesn’t look very positive for Albion supporters.
However, Spurs haven’t won on any of their last three visits to The Hawthorns with the last meeting between the sides being 2018’s game where Jake Livermore scored a dramatic late winner.
Despite Albion’s supposed poor chances, a few Baggies fans have suggested that it would be a ‘very Albion thing to do’ if Slaven Bilic’s side picked up three points against Spurs, but it is fair to say the majority of fans arent so confident.
