‘Off the pace’, ‘Can’t do the job’ – These West Brom fans want senior player dropped v Spurs
Plenty of West Brom fans have been calling for club captain Jake Livermore to be dropped, with the Baggies enduring a tough start to life in the Premier League.
The Baggies face high flying Tottenham Hotspur in their next league fixture on Sunday and could finish the weekend 19th in the table with a loss and results elsewhere going against them.
Livermore has started every game so far this season, but appears to have lost the faith of some fans, who want to see a change in midfield.
The former England man was particularly poor against Fulham during Monday’s 2-0 defeat at Craven Cottage, completing just 12 passes before being substituted before the hour mark (via WhoScored).
With one West Brom fan account on Twitter running a poll to see who their followers would like to see play, they selected Livermore to play at the base of the midfield.
However, many fans in the replies insisted the former Spurs man should be dropped, with many suggesting he was unable to play the role Slaven Bilic has put him in.
Here are some of the best responses from Baggies fans.
