‘Get this clown out’ – Bilic decision sparks fury among many WBA fans ahead of clash v Spurs

West Brom fans are furious with manager Slaven Bilic after his starting line-up for the clash against Tottenham was revealed on Twitter.

Albion tweeted via their official Twitter account ahead of kick-off at The Hawthorns on Sunday that Matheus Pereira and Branislav Ivanovic have been left out with Grady Dianhgana dropping to the bench. Kyle Bartley, Dara O’Shea and Callum Robinson all return to the side.

Bilic confirmed on Friday that he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the potential make-or-break game against Tottenham.

West Brom fans are understandably scratching their heads over the team news but the club has since offered an explanation by saying that both Ivanovic and Pereira have tested positive for COVID-19.

Pereira was substituted off early against Fulham on Monday and was spotted storming down the tunnel before Bilic claimed that the attacker wasn’t good enough in the 2-0 defeat at Craven Cottage.

As the results of his positive COVID-19 test weren’t revealed until after the team news was released, it led to quite the meltdown on Twitter.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Maybe West Brom should have tweeted about the positive coronavirus tests before the team news was released because that has sparked some rather unnecessary tweets.

Either way, fans are not happy with the team and that just shows how lacking in depth the Baggies really are.

In other West Brom news, Stan Collymore’s made his prediction for the game.
