Stan Collymore predicts West Brom v Tottenham result
Stan Collymore predicts West Brom will suffer a heavy defeat against Tottenham at The Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon.
Slaven Bilic is under major pressure to oversee at least a respectable performance against in-form Spurs this weekend with the Telegraph reporting earlier this week that the Baggies hierarchy will be forced into a decision if the side suffers a big defeat.
According to the Mirror, Albion are already eyeing up Lee Bowyer as a potential replacement for the under-fire Croatian.
Based on Collymore’s prediction for the game at The Hawthorns, West Brom will be beaten quite comfortably by Jose Mourinho’s men with the former Aston Villa forward tipped Spurs to win 3-0 in the Black Country.
In his predictions for the Sunday Mirror [print edition, November 8], Collymore wrote: “I simply can’t see the Baggies stopping Tottenham at the moment… or even making a contest of it.”
Collymore isn’t the most popular of pundits among West Brom fans with the ex-Villa man regularly belittling the Black Country club.
However, on this occasion, it’s really hard to disagree with the former striker because Albion’s form is rotten and Tottenham are in fine form in the Premier League.
How does Bilic plan to stop Harry Kane and Son Heung-min?
We have absolutely no faith in West Brom’s defence to be able to cope with two of the best and most in-form players in English football.
If Albion win this match or manage to get a draw, it will surely be down to the fact that Spurs failed to turn up because there’s such a gulf in quality between these two sides.
In other West Brom news, Bilic could axe one player for a decisive match against Tottenham this weekend.
