‘Do we get extra points’ – These WBA fans feel the same way about Mourinho post-match comments

Plenty of West Brom fans were not happy to hear Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho say that he felt sorry for them after Sunday’s meeting.

A late Harry Kane goal sealed a 1-0 win for Spurs at The Hawthorns, prompting the Portuguese boss to say that he “felt sorry” for the Baggies after they “fought so hard” (via Football.London).

Given the tightness of the match this was not an entirely unfair comment, with the Baggies causing their opponents plenty of issues and taking 12 shots in total (via WhoScored).

During the match, Slaven Bilic’s side generated 0.8 expected goals to Spurs’ 1.9, although much of that came from the Kane chance that sealed it (via Michael Caley).

In midfield, Filip Krovinovic impressed with his passing and dribbling, while Conor Gallagher hit the post during another energetic display. Utilised on the right of a back three, Semi Ajayi was also very good defensively and with the ball at his feet.

At full-time, a number of Baggies fans took to Twitter to praise their side, with many criticising Mourinho for his “patronising” comments.

Here are some of the best reactions.
